New process for applying for visas within UK
#1

We have been hearing about this since May but this is the first time the process has been spelled out in such detail.

Very interesting. My wife got her FLR approved last week and on balance we are feeling relieved that we avoided the new system....I just hope that it doesn't go into melt down mode within weeks of being rolled out. At least we have 30 months before we need to apply again !!

Very positive development overall. Be interesting to see how buggy or not the initial rollout will be.

I love your optimism, BritInParis! I am trying to adopt a similar attitude but scared for us next May!

Six months should be enough to iron out any problems.

Having had a quick look at this new process - UKVCAS - this system can be used from November for those people IN THE UK applying for new/extentions to their current visas,
Those applying to JOIN family in the UK will start to use this new system from Jan 2019.
Will be interesting to see what this Sopra Steria appointment service is like.
