New Child Passport & Entry
Hi, does anyone have any experience of how long first child passports are taking for a child born in Asia currently? Any recent experience?
Also if my child has a passport from a different country can she be granted admittance as a British citizen even if her passport isn't processed based on her birth certificate and my passport? I am presuming yes, as she is British but expecting pain at the border. Backup plan..Thanks for any insight.

In that case you shouldn’t face any long delays in obtaining her British passport. It’s not quite as quick as it was pre-pandemic but it shouldn’t take more than four weeks. Given today’s announcement by Beijing I would try and avoid travelling on a BN(O) passport at least when leaving HK.

Thanks...it's already been four weeks since processing started. Six weeks since submitting...but reassuring HK isn't one of those places where it seems to take months for approval . Not exactly panicking but not feeling very comfortable being here anymore and want to escape asap. Fingers crossed they get to it soon. Thanks for your help.
