Moving to Jersey after arriving in England on a Spouse Visa.

Hello all,

My wife came over to the UK (England) on a Spouse Visa in June 2018. What I wanted to know is that if we were to move to Jersey (Channel Islands) and work a full time job, will that be OK when the time comes for a renewal of the Visa in 2.5 years? Or will that not be recognised as living in the UK?

Also, will my wife need any additional documents to move there?

Thanks in advance!

Jersey has a separate immigration system from the UK. How long do you intend to stay in Jersey? Your wife can work towards ILR and naturalisation as a British citizen under the Jersey immigration rules if you plan to stay at least five years.
