Default Moving back with (US) family

I am a UK citizen, my husband is a US citizen, and we have a newborn daughter with dual citizenship. We currently live in America, but we want to relocate to the UK. We've researched to little avail to find the best available route to take so that we won't be separated for a long period of time. Has anyone been in this position? What would be the best way to go? Ideally without financial requirements, because that would involve me having to move back first and find work before he can come. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you/your husband have 62.5 in savings, or a property that when sold would give you equity of 62.5?

Does your husband have the skills to get a work visa?

Or does he want to study?

Not a cheap option and the hours he is allowed to work will be limited.

The other visas require money of at least 200K.

Does he have a claim to an EEA country citizenship?

Unfortunately none of those are options for us, and we can't seem to find an option to where we won't be split up for a long period of time

No European-born parents, grandparents or great-grandparents for your husband? If not it looks like your options would be limited to the Surinder Singh route.

It's funny, because we at first thought we could apply through the EU Grandparent route - as my Wife's mother is German. But according to German law, prior to 1975, you can only claimed German citizenship from your Father's side and my wife was born in 1972.

Interesting though this discovery was, it causes a stir as unearthing my mother-in-law's German birth certificate we found it was stamped with a Swastika by the 3rd Reich! (she was born in 1945).

Uncomfortable dinner conversation ensued.

You could look at the Surinder Singh route where you move as a family to another EU country, live and work there for several months before applying for a Family Permit to the UK.

Not without its difficulties and problems but it does not require an upfront financial requirement.

Search on this forum for Surinder Singh for other people's experiences

It might do as we still don't know if these spouses will be offered the cheap £200 per year NHS surcharge to then be allowed free access to the NHS, or whether they will have to buy CSIs (Comprehensive Sickeness Insurance) to pay for all their healthcare in the UK for the next 5 years.
