Default Moving back as single parent

Hi all, I am currently in the US with my husband and 2 kids on an L2 Visa (moved here 4 years ago)

My son was born in USA has a US passport and my daughter was born in UK and has a UK passport.

I am looking at going back home perhaps temporarily with the kids by myself in January without my husband - for a number of reasons but he will stay here and continue to support us financially as we need.

Should I apply for a UK pasport for my son? I will be living with my parents while we rethink our future and have not worked in the US so will be looking to get a job in Scotland and for my daughter to attend school as soon as we return. Is there anything I should be aware of? How does the NHS work?

Thanks!

Get a British passport for your son. Register with your local GP. Apply to local schools for your daughter.

Welcome to BE.

I agree with BIP…get a UK PP for your son.

As this forum is for questions/discussion on visas/passports/citizenship, please post question re NHS/Schools etc in the UK General forum:
