Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.
Hello all...
Just a quick update on my application... since husband and I are getting worried about some feedback here about some people who already got their visa but were never advised nor received any sms from VFS, leaving them very little time to fly to UK and avoid getting that unreasonable and bordering on extortion fine. I went to the trouble of travelling for hours to visit VFS in Makati and inquire.
What I got is this:
Their system is showing that my application is on process. Now they can't confirm whether it's On Process by the embassy preparing my passport to be sent to them or On Process by Sheffield for getting the decision. Was advised to go back tomorrow to check, but I think I'll do that next week.
I did asked too if I can see a copy/checklist of the documents I've submitted to them for scan last June 22nd, I've been told that they no longer have a copy since it was already submitted to the embassy.
I guess I have to sit and wait and be hopeful, patient, bat shit bored stir crazy and thankful that at least we've got one worrybout of the way.

My wife's status has changed from 'complete' to 'in active' as well, which is very typically confusing from this train wreck of a process - does that mean that is now 'in' an 'active' state (it didn't say 'in complete' after all), or does that mean it is now 'inactive' (meaning nothing is happening anymore)?
As clear as mud, as usual.

Changing from complete to in active means nothing!
It defaults to in active after 60 days, ours changed over 3 months ago and still no visa

I think it means 'inactive' because a certain number of days have passed. It's typical that:
1) they spell it wrongly
2) it doesn't occur to them that it would alarm/mislead people

Very nervous, just received an email saying passport is in Hong Kong.
Will inform everyone of the outcome tomorrow!
