Default Looking for UK spouse visa advice.

My husband is from the US me UK, we plan to move back to the UK soon and do a mix of earnings and savings. For the saving is it ok if my husband's name and his grandmothers name is on the account she will be gifting us the savings needed ?
TIA

Hi and welcome to BE.

The savings must be in yours or your husbands name (or joint) and under your control, so I'd advise that the amount you'll be relying on in transferred to a bank account meeting that condition. The funds will need to be in that bank account for a minimum of 6 months prior to your husband applying. Your husband will need to state on his application form that the savings is a gift and your husband's grandmother needs to state in writing (signed in ink) that the money is a gift and there is no expectation of repayment. Good luck with the application, don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions.
