Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for all the advice provided. Our spouse visa was initially incorrectly refused. We appealed and put in a new application. Visa has been approved (2nd application). The appeal is also approved as they called yesterday to hand in the passport.
Obviously they won't refund the visa fees. Just wanted to ask how to get the Health Surcharge fee back as we paid for both applications separately so one should be refunded? Would we need to withdraw our appeal application? Will this cause an issue at the immigration control?

If both applications have been approved then there's nothing to withdraw. You should be refunded automatically.
