Default Is IHS charge really increasing from OCT

Hi all
As we all must have heard even from the last year that IHS might increase from October 2020, and I am sure various credible websites have been confirming it. I am just wondering that whether this covenant will still go ahead given the colossal credit crunch & the imminence of second wave of virus?

I couldn't find anything to say the increase won't go ahead, so it appears that from 1 October 2020 the IHS will be £624 per year for most visa categories, £470 for some.

It’s currently going ahead unless there’s an announcement to the contrary.

In my view, during CVD19 when NHS is palpably weakened in dealing even the minor illnesses due to shortages of resources despite can procure them easily, that enforcement shouldn't go ahead because it wont commensurate with the revised charges. Also, we haven't seen anyone working for NHS to actually have received the exemption from this charge for which a movement was launched and approved earlier during the peak time of this plaque.
