Re: IELTS test for UK Spouse visa
The URN for IELTS SELT Consortium tests is in the following format:
IEL/123456/XXXXX/123456
(first three letters are the SELT provider’s code, date of test, test centre code, candidate number)
And it seems to be the same for all types of IELTS?
Will have to remind them of those

Re: IELTS test for UK Spouse visa
"Approved by the Secretary of State" is the key phrase. The list of approved tests/providers is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/public...language-tests
You have to take the whole test however the reading and writing results can be ignored for the purposes of a partner or parent visa.

Given that the OP was refused for using an IELTS for UKVI (Academic) test result for a partner visa application I would recommend sitting an IELTS Life Skills test and using that result for your application.

Re: IELTS test for UK Spouse visa
From Appendix FM section 1.71
"2.4. Tests at a higher level than required
The minimum standard an applicant in the partner or parent routes must meet is, as appropriate, level A1 or A2 of CEFR in speaking and listening skills. If they wish, applicants can pass an approved test at a higher level to meet the requirement which applies to their application."
Sounds like the ECO didn't know his/her job. I suggest requesting an adminstrative review.

An administrative review would have been a waste of time, as the ECO was not in error.
In the post above yours, the OP confirms that they have received their visa, after applying again and submitting the correct evidence.

I am just curious if you have received the VISA ? I believe you have taken Ielts Academic for UKVI? Can my wife use this visa to apply for the spouse visa also?
