Hi All
Hoping someone can help me with this one?
Not sure what to say where they ask how much money is spent on each child? Are they talking school fees, food etc? A bit academic as when the entire family moves to the UK these numbers will be meaningless?

Must admit never been asked this question before. Thought you were applying for spouse visa with savings.
What is the actual question asked in the application? In which section is it? Are you completing the correct application?

Hi
I am applying for Spousal Visa. The question is under " Your Sponsors Dependants" - I selected "Yes" to the question whether she has any children ( ours ). Or is this asking whether she has any other children, other than ours? Other than the ones I listed under my "Dependant Children" - even though they both already have British passports?

The "three rules" which will stand you in good stead for completing the forms are as follows:
1) Take each question at face value;
2) Do not ascribe any meaning to the question beyond that which is plainly written; and
3) Do not try to alter the question to fit your circumstances.
In other words, if the form asks for information about "the applicant's children", without further description or qualification, then provide that information regardless of whether you are applying for visas for them. Obviously that would be different if the request was for information for children who are applying for visas.

Taking into account your children are British and they are not applying for visas, I, personally, would not answer yes to the question regarding whether your sponsor has dependents. You sponsor does NOT have dependents who are applying for visas, only you, the applicant are applying for a visa. The children are irrelevant to this application.
I would answer No....

This is my application (husband). These questions all under the "Application" section.
Early on in the form, under "Dependant Details" it asks whether I have any dependants - I then listed the 2 children - it does not ask me their nationality or whether they require a visa. Just relationship/name/DoB/Living with me?/Travelling with me to the UK?
Towards the end of the form - under " Sponsor Details" I am asked all sorts of questions about my wife - DoB/when&where married/when started living together/her passport details etc.
Then it asks under " Your Sponsors Dependants" - "Does xxxxxxxxx have any dependants? Yes/No "
If I click "Yes" as she does have dependants - ours - then it asks me for Name/DoB/Nationality(for the first time) and "How much money is spent on this dependant each month in GBP?"

Your British citizen children are not dependents as per immigration definition.
As per the statement below:
You are not sponsoring your children. Neither is your wife. She nor you have dependents requiring visas.
You should state NO to these questions.
As per the statement below:
Spouse visa dependants
Children under 18 years of age can enter the UK as your dependents. You should make an application for them at the same time that you make your spouse visa application. Please note that your sponsoring spouse must show income of a specified amount, the level of which varies depending on the number of dependant children being sponsored. You are not sponsoring your children. Neither is your wife. She nor you have dependents requiring visas.
You should state NO to these questions.

I cannot post screenshots of the specific question. I think any children born to you are considered dependants. Further, you(as the Sponsor) can select if you spend any money on them. For the applicant, you similarly, select a dependant if you have any children and later choose if they are travelling with you or not.

I have anyways submitted my application few weeks ago. In the cover letter we have made it clear what we spend on our children.

His visa was approved in August. We have a child who is a British citizen . When filling in the form I just did a rather basic calculation : school fees , food , clothes , doctor fees , toys , books , play dates . Didn’t think too long about it , just these items.
Good luck with your application !

Not really. The application specifically asks if the sponsor has any child/children. If yes, the amount of money spent per month on them even if they do not stay with the sponsor.
