Hi Guys
Can anyone help me? My US citizen husband and I lived in the US for 4 years (me on CR1 visa and then eventually citizenship). We decided we wanted to move back to the UK and it tied in great with my husband wanting to further his studies and do a masters.
We are now back in the UK with my husband on a Tier 4 student visa and myself being the british citizen. I have a job earning way over the £18,600 threshold needed to switch my husbands student visa to a spousal visa but the only problem is owing to the nature of my work (television) I am on a fixed-term 1 year contract with my employer. This is typical of this nature of work and when its done will most likely move onto a different department and start another contract.
I'm literally panicked that when I come to apply for the spousal visa, even though I will be showing 6 months of payslips earning well over the threshold , they will refuse my husband a visa as there will only be 6 months left of my contract.
Please someone help!!!

A 12 month fixed contract is fine for the financial requirements for a spouse visa, even with only 6 months left on it.
