Getting my baby British Citizenship after he was born in the US

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I’m a British Citizen who married my US C husband a few years ago and moved to the states (Virginia) with a Green Card. We recently had a baby who will automatically be registered here with a SSN etc, however I really want to make sure he also has British Citizenship - after hours of Google searches, I’m still unclear how to get this done in the correct way! Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you 😊

In that case your son is already a British citizen by descent. You need only apply for his British passport. If want to formally document his status however then you can also apply for consular birth registration. More information on this is available on the wiki.
