Further Leave To Remain

Asking early as I like to plan ahead...

I have recently been granted the initial spousal visa for 2 years 9 months. In applying for this visa, I took the IELTS Life Skills A1 English test. When the time comes, the gov.uk says, all things being equal, that I will have to apply for an A2 test. However, it also says that people aged 65 and over are exempt.

Just to clarify: Although I was below 65 years when I applied for the initial visa and had to take A1, I will be over 65 years when the time comes to apply for extension so I presume I will be exempt from taking A2?
