FLR

Our FLR application isn't due till next year, but around summer when we could obviously be interested in travelling so I am keen to try and get my head around this - and finding it all too much (or too soon perhaps??) trawling thru UKVI sites. Two quick questions:
1) The BRP issued to me (and children) expires on Sept 28, 2020 (they were issued on 23/12/2017). This is obviously longer than 30 months? Am I missing something here?
2) When do I have to apply by - at this point would not be looking at doing same day processing. I seem to recall there was some kind of not more than, less than equation.

Thanks.

Re: FLR

1) The three bonus months that you’re given with an application lodged outside the UK,

2) No more than 28 days before the expiry date of your current BRPs.

Thanks BiP. That's a relief, we can enjoy summer hols and then face it. Did more research last night, without finding answers to these two questions, but discovered the new process which seems far more sensible than previous one. So fingers crossed. .

I’ve had nothing but good reports thus far.

Could you share what the new process is?
