Hi - we are moving back to the UK at the end of the year. I'm a UK citizen (was born and raised there) and my two sons were born in NZ. I believe I can apply for UK passports for both of them however my UK passport has expired. Is this right? Does anyone know if this would be a concern? I was planning on travelling on my NZ passport as I have dual citizenship. Thanks in advance.

If you are moving back permanently and have until the end of the year before you go it would be advisable to renew your British passport at the same time as you apply for your sons'.
