Fiance visa income requirement - Am I category A or B?
Hello, I'm just a bit confused about how to declare my income on VAF4A Appendix 2 form.
I have been with the same employer since 2017, and until 31st March I was paid on a case by case basis, paid fortnightly in arrears. So my income was variable, but was always sufficiently higher than the £18,600 threshold. On the odd month that it might have fallen under £1550, the following month more than made up for it. Technically the contract was a zero-hours, temporary contract but in practice I never worried about not making enough.
Since 1st April, I have been promoted to a permanent contract, fixed salary position, which is over £25,000.
So this month, I will be receiving my last payslips from my previous role, and the first payslip of my new fixed salary.
I am hoping to submit our application by the end of the month. How should I declare this income?
Am I fine to use Category A?
Should I set my income as my new salary, or do the calculation they ask for non-salaried (total gross from 6 month period, divided by 6, multiplied by 12) ?
Any advice is much appreciated.
