Hi guys,

I'm a Canadian citizen applying to the UK for a fiance visa. My British fiance definitely meets the financial requirement, and he's been with his company for 10 months now.

1. I saw that a lot of people are submitting 12 months of their payslips and bank statements even though they specify a 6 month time period on the Financial Requirement guide. Have I totally missed something here? Is it definitely 12 months of payslips and statements?
2. If we only have 10 months of payslips, does this mean my fiance will need to submit payslips from his previous employment to make it 12 months?
3. Does this mean we choose category A?

If you’re applying via Category A then it’s six months. If he’s been in salaried employment in the UK with the same employer earning at least £18,600 pa for the last six months then it’ll be Category A.

I also have one question about the appendix 2, financial requirement

Who needs to provide the financial requirement? My fiancee (sponsor) or me? Or both? I am confused because in the appendix 2 application form, there's a whole section for MY financial information, and that's confusing. Who needs to meet the 18,600? My partner, correct?

For the initial entry spouse visa, if applying with employment income, then its only your sponsor's income which is taken into consideration.
