Evidence of savings query
Hi, we will be applying for my husband’s spouse visa using the savings route ie we have the required level of savings sitting in a bank account in his name. When we do the application, will we just need to provide a copy of the bank statement showing the balance? Also, does the money need to have been sitting there for an amount of time, or do they just check the balance? Thanks so much |
Re: Evidence of savings query
You supply 6 months of bank statements to show you have held the monies for that amount of time under your control.
While the account can fluctuate , it must not have gone below 62,500 GBP for the whole of the period. If the cash has come from the sale of a property you do not have to have held the money for 6 months, but have owned the property for more than 6 months at time of application. Evidence of property sale should be included. |

Thank you so much - does the Account need to be in both our names, or just his? |
