Default Entry to UK on UK and Australian passports

Hi

We are travelling to the UK in June. I have a UK passport, but my wife and young son have Australian passports does anyone know (or have experience of) whether we can all go through the EU line at immigration? I have a recollection they like families to stay together.

Thanks

I think you will be fine, I haven't done it at Heathrow though but have elsewhere and it has been fine.
Certainly your child can go with you as they wont separate a child from their parent and frankly I'd just ask a customs official nicely before you get to the lines if you can keep the family together.
Keeping the family unit together is much easier for them as well as you.
