Eligible earnings after 2.5 years and maternity leave
Hi everyone,
From reading the guidelines it looks like we can use both our salaries to contribute towards the application at the 2.5 year point, as they are both earned in the UK. Do you know if this is correct?
Also, as I understand, if I am still on maternity leave in the 6 months leading up to our application and I have not returned to work or I have left my job, receiving only SMP, will this mean that we can only rely on my husband's earnings?
If we can only rely on his earnings during this time then I will need to plan to return to work if his salary can't contribute towards the financial requirement.
Thanks very much!

Yes, you can use one or the other or both to meet the financial requirements through income when you apply for FLR.
