Default "Effective Date" in bank statement

Hello,

My partner and I are applying for a Spouse Visa where we need to account for the sponsor's income for the last financial year.

On the bank statement, there is an income payment that was made on April 6th 2020 but it says that "effective date is 05 April 2020". Does that mean we can count that payment for the self assessment tax return and Visa application or not?

Thank you.

Do you need that payment to reach the financial minimum? (presume you are applying under self employment)

No not really. We're applying under both self-employment and employment and we are just over the threshold not including this payment.

Then don't include this additional payment, if a) you don't need it and b) it may fall outside of the financial year anyway.
