EEA2 getting back our passports
 

Hello all,
We applied for the EEA2 under SS a week ago and still haven't heard from the UKBA.
Do we have to hear from them in order to ask our passports back?
We both have jobs abroad soon and need our passports...
Also in the link for getting our documents back there are a lot of possibilities to choose from in the "Select application category mandatory field" I don't understand which one to choose.
I will appreciate your help.

once your receive confirmation of your application & payment has been taken from your CC account or however you paid. Only then should you request the passports back.

Give it a few more days, likely end next week for their acknowledgement of receipt & money for the application gas been paid.

It can take anywhere up to 2 weeks depending on if the application is complete before you receive an acknowledgement

Thank you.
I finally got the letter but the home office reference number is 2 letters followed by 13 digits. There is only space for 7 digits on where it says Home office Reference Number.

Any ideas what to do?

unless you already have a contact number or email in the letter, try....

0300 123 2241 or email [email protected]

maybe someone else will come along to offer you advice on the "reference number" to fill in on the form

Thank you i sent them an email, the phone number is only recorded voice and not a person unfortunately.
I wonder if they even answer the emails.

Do I have to enter the reference number?
I see that I can go on filling the form without entering the numbers...

they do answer emails..

beyond what I gave you in post 4 above, I cant help further on that form or the reference number thingy
