Question EEA permit accepted, residence declined??

Hi all,

Reflecting on the EEA-route and wondering about how this scenario comes about- if your EEA permit (6-month visa) is accepted and then once in the UK you apply for the UK residence card and that is declined.

If the same supporting documentation/information is the same as in the initial EEA permit application how can this scenario possibly happen?

Many thanks for any experiences/information!

Default Re: EEA permit accepted, residence declined??

That would depends on your circumstances but as long as the EEA national is exercising their Treaty Rights in the UK, e.g. working, then the resident card application should be successful. They would need to provide information/evidence regarding this which they wouldn't have done for the initial EEA Family Permit.
