Default EEA family permit or what?

Hi there,
I'm Italian. I've been living in London from oct 2009 to july 2011. Then I took a long holiday in Italy where I've met my actual boyfriend. He is Brazilian with the rights to live in Italy for his working visa.
I decided to stay in Italy. We are living togheter from august 2011 and we are thinking of moving to London on this sep 2013.

I'm thinking to apply for the EEA family permit because the next sep we'll have more than 2 years togheter.
He asked me to marry me, and we are planning to do it, but as you all know, this takes a lot of money, money important to move with more facility to London.
I've read, I have to prove we are togheter from 2 year, but how can i prove that? with facebook message? picture? letter of family and friends or what? Instead, all of this, could be possible without beeing married?

I've tryed to apply for the eea family permit, in the apposit section but I need the visa number. How can I have the visa number if I'm applying for that?
Maybe I did not understand something ... could you explain me how can I do everything? and how long it takes?

Thank you very much, and sorry for my english.
Best regards
Greta and Nelson

He's the one who needs to apply for the EEA Family Permit, not you.
