I am British. Husband American.married 27 years. Submitted online. Have done biometric and About to send off everything to Sheffield and paying for priority service. I am temporarily back in U.S.A with my husband and will be here for either part or most of the time while Application will be being processed. My main contact is email. My mobile Doesn't work where I am. We are going the Cash Savings route.

Is it routine for Sheffield to call sponsor? I'd hate this to be the reason for denial..that they couldn't reach me by phone.

I can only comment from my experience, but I was never contacted when sponsoring my wife and we got the visa in less than two weeks. (not priority service)
