You don’t need the sponsors birth certificate. It’s not relevant. Just a scan of their passport bio page is enough.

Send a a list of all your documents so we can tell you if something looks like it’s missing or not relevant.

You don't need to send the sponsorship undertaking form. Just be sure you don't need a TB test in the country you're applying from.

If I may jump in and ask a question on this subject, can someone tell me if I need Appendix 2 when I am applying to settle in the UK as the spouse of a British citizen?
It's confusing, Appendix 2 talks about joining your spouse who is "settled" in the UK. My husband is a US permanent resident and we are now moving to the UK permanently. We have our Biometric appointment next week, and I can't find the list of supporting documents for our situation. I have our marriage license, our payslips, bank statements, letters of employment (in the US of course!), passports. We have paid the fees online, the IHS fee and the visa fee and have confirmation of that.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Yes, Appendix 2 explains your financials and is mandatory. The word settled is just the term used to refer to the person with settled status in the UK, ie your husband. It is irrelevant whether he is there or with you. Does he have a job in the UK to go to?

Thank you, Katy, my husband is a British citizen, who lives in the US with me since 2003, thats why I was hung up on how they used the word "settled." so I applied for a "Settlement" Visa for me, but it gives all these different "what ifs" - so is Appendix 2 an actual form or is it just a compiling of the various required docs, like bank statements, payslips, etc? And no, my husband wont be working since he is retired. I may look for part time work once we're there but for now, he gets a pension and we've got our 401ks to fulfill the income requirement.

I appreciate your advice! This is all very daunting!
