Do we need a UK passport to return to UK or
Do we need a UK passport to return to the UK or not. Our UK passports are due to expire September 08, have an Aussie passport though, what are the implications?

If returning to live, you need either a British passport, a Right of Abode stamp in your Australian passport, or a passport from another EEA state (or Switzerland).

No I do not think you can. We are Brits but our daughter has a Kiwi passport. When we last visited the Uk she got an - only allowed to stay 6 month stamp in it. We have now got her a British passport so all is sweet.

Better be safe than sorry, renew your UK passports soon - you wont lose the time still in lieu because they will give you up to 6 months if you renew it early. UK passports are the only things around here that have dropped in price in the past few months!
