Do I need a Sponsor when applying for a UK Parent Visa to live with my child?
When I was filling out the Visa4UK form to get a parent visa to take care of my child in the UK I ran across this: [View Attached Photo]
I don't need a Sponsor because I will be having my own funds. But I will be living at my daughter grandfather's house until I find permanent accommodation.
Do I need to put his details in as my sponsor?
If not can I just write a cover letter explaining that I don't need a sponsor? That I will be only staying at his address until I find permanent accommodation?

Which form are you completing?

I am filling out Other - Others - Exercise the Right of Access to a Child on Visa4UK. I am applying from the United States. I don't have a sponsor but my daughter grandfather gives me permission to stay at his place until I find permanent accommodation. I have my own funds.
Do I still have to put his details in? or can I just write "0" on the fields and write a cover letter explaining that I will have no sponsor?

Sorry, I don't know what online form you are completing. Visa4UK is just the website. I can't access online forms.
From what I have read concerning this visa, a sponsor is not mentioned. However you do need a lot of documentation regarding your custody situation, responsibilities
for the child, interactions on a day to day basis etc etc, finances and accommodation.......
