digital photo and code help pls - Toronto
 

Hey Guy's,

I've been looking through the docs for online passport renewal.
So it talks about getting a photo done and a digital code which you use to upload it to the site OR to upload your own one.

Any takers of where I can get this digital code thing, in the GTA (I'm in Mississauga), I'm also wondering
as I'm sending back my original passport anyway, should I not just send hard copies as well
(don't need a photo countersigned)

Anyone got blown out for submitting there own digital photo/scanned etc

google draws a blank for digital code, but plenty of people doing digital copies and then uploading them

Are you asking about this for a UK or Canadian passport renewal?

UK passport due to expire next year in March
I used the overseas tool on the passport office website

Ah, ok. I'll move it then - we have a specific sub forum for UK passport stuff, I'm sure the good folks there will be able to advise.

errm , I'm not sure that will help,
I think that sub-forum, is specifically regarding UK passports/visa applications,
I'm already in Canada trying to renew my passport from Canada
and I need info from any already here on submitting digital photo's online from canada
I think that sub-forum will be brits getting info on already being in the UK and gettng passports, I don't think
they will have info on already being here ??

No, it's for all UK passport queries, including those renewing from other countries. I'm sure somebody will be able to help, although tbh are you not better off just getting the photo taken at home? Given the photo code is so new, I'd have thought that would be much easier.

Given that digital photo code is for UK passport applications I think it unlikely to be available overseas. You can just have a digital photo taken and upload that instead. The code is a small convenience.
