Council Housing

Hi.I am a british citizen, i with my wife who is on a spouse visa and our daughter live with my parents. My question is can I apply for council housing solely or will that still affect my wife's application when apply for an extension to visa or any future applications.

Also is there a limit to income when applying for housing. My income will be above18600 but below 20000 before tax but i also have some debt. Thank you.

Re: Council Housing

Applying for a council house won't affect your wife's next visa application.
Best to enquire with your local housing office for eligibility criteria. Different rates of income are used across the UK as are needs and the availability of council housing
