Citizenship Question

Wondering if anyone could help here. My mum was born in Singapore whilst it was British colony in 1958 to Scottish born parents. Would that make her British or British by descent?

Typically she would be British by descent. What was your father’s employment at the time of her birth?

Edited: this no longer applies as the home office subsquently restricted it to those who were registered.
