Child Registration Outside the UK

Hello

I'de like to get some advice from an expert or someone who has been through a similar case.
I am now currently pregnant and I'm expecting in 2 months time.
I am a British Citizen but I got married and I'm currently living outside of the UK, and I will be delivering outside of the UK.
My husband isn't a British Citizen, so I am wondering will my child be able to apply for the British Citizenship?
Brief facts about me;
I was born outside of the UK (1993) and a the time of my birth none of my parents were British Citizens, ( My father was staying in the UK at the time of my birth and was eligible at the time to apply for the citizenship but didn't. )
After a year since my birth I moved into the UK with my mother and got an indefinite leave to remain (1994) and stayed living there for more than 10 years.
In 1995 my younger sister was born in the UK and she received her citizenship straight away, after that my father applied for his citizenship and he received his Certificate of Naturalisation under section 6(1) in 1997.
I received my Certificate of Registration in 1997 stating that I am registered under section 3(1).
Later on my mother received her Certificate of Naturalisation in 1999 under section 6(2).

What is the approach for me to apply and register my child to have a British Citizenship?
While I was looking through some documents, it came to my attention that it states that my child can automatically become a British citizen if I was registered otherwise than by descent,
How can I find out if I am considered to be descent or not by descent?
And what are all my options?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Child Registration Outside the UK

Is the date of your registration the same date as your father’s naturalisation?

In that case you’ll be a British citizen otherwise than by descent and therefore any children you have outside the UK will be automatically British citizens at birth. You need only apply for their passports. As you received your citizenship by registration then it would be a good idea to apply for their consular birth certificates if possible in case your certificate goes missing.
