If he was born in England then you should be able to find him on FreeBMD. BEVS should be able to help.

If your father was born in the UK, why are you chasing down your grandfather's birth certificate?

two reasons:
1. wanna keep my Ancestry record and show to Home department.
2. Apply the Ancestry Vise If the UKF application unsuccessful.

If you’re not eligible for British citizenship then it’s unlikely that you’re be eligible for a UK Ancestry visa. Form UKF should be your priority.
