Can i get british citizenship by double descent? My grandmother was born in britain.
I am american, born in 1982. My grandmother was born in britain but moved to america when she was young. She is in her 90s now. I am interested in becoming a dual us/uk citizen. No one in my family served in the crown services or military. Thanks for any info. :)

On the face of it, and presuming your parents and other grandparents were all born in the US, it's a no. If you were a Commonwealth citizen then you could apply for an ancestry visa. If your grandmother was born in Ireland (north or south) then you could apply to be registered as an Irish citizen.
