BRP and Schengen visa
hi,
we've made an application for our spouse visa (me: UK citizen), and have put a travel date. However, when we make our trip to the UK we would need to stay one night in a schengen country.
For us to get a schengen visa, would we need to possess the BRP? or is there an alternative way that we can travel?
If it helps, we can travel via france or spain.

Your wife will need to meet the immigration requirements of whichever country she plans to visit. Algerian citizens require a visa to visit either France or Spain. I would suggest it would be easier to fly direct with British Airways.
