British passport interview

British passport interview
Dear everybody,
I have applied for British passport for my child who was born in Algeria. It is my husband who lives in the Uk who hold the British citizenship. The child is staying with me in Algeria. HMPO has contacted me for an interview, but they told me it is the father who should attend the interview not me. I have expalined the family circumstances telling them that the father cannot travel back to Algeria as he has started a new job in the UK recently. They said that they will forward the application to the UK based interview. I am just asking if any knows how it will take to organise an interview in the UK bearing in mind that the child in Algeria. Thank you

Hi it can take up to 3 - 4 weeks for them to organise your interview in the UK
