British Citizenship by descent
Hi all
My two children have British Citizenship by descent - if we plan to go back to the UK permanently and they then decide to move back to Australia in later life - will their children be able to get british citizenship if born overseas? Thanks in advance

Re: British Citizenship by descent
As the law stands, providing your children spend three or more continuous years in the UK before their children are born overseas, then your grandchildren can be registered as British citizens before they turn 18.

Unless the LAW changes...
They will need to provide evidence that you were British at the time of their birth.
So keep your passport/birth certificates safe as your children will need them in the future
