Born in Hong Kong - British?

I was born in Hong Kong when it was a British territory and then moved to the US and naturalized as a citizen.

Does that mean I gave up my British citizenship?

Can I reclaim it and/or have a dual citizenship?

What travel document/nationality did you have when you moved to the US?

My parents were born in China but I was born in 1965 in Hong Kong and I have my birth certificate.

I have my birth certificate from Hong Kong. Just wondering if I was born a British citizen or not and if I can reclaim that citizenship.

You would’ve been born a Citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies but if your parents were Chinese then it’s very unlikely you have a claim to British citizenship now.

Thanks. I actually don't know how my parents ended up in Hong Kong before I was born of if they became British citizens or not. They've both passed away so I can't ask them.

Is there a way to find out?

What passports did you emigrate to the US on and when did you leave Hong Kong?
