Hi Everyone;

I would need your help regarding punch holes on my original Bank Statements (as supporting documents)

I am a Brit with my wife on Spouse Visa. Time has come close to the 2.5 year time-point of her extension of visa. I surely understand the importance of the 6-months of original bank statements thus I have always kept all of the statements all along.

However today I suddenly realized that, actually I have been making punch holes on the original bank statement (in order to file them up tidily inside my A4 binder). I am now starting to worry whether the punch holes (not generated by the bank) will void the validity of those bank statements? Shall I call the bank to order another set?

Hope that I had not done something irreversibly stupid.

Have the holes been punched through any text, so the text is missing?

The holes are on the edge, not cutting away any text /numbers.

A related question: does any marking on bank statements affect their validity? I wrote some figures on them, underlined some transactions, etc. I don't think they affect legibility, if that's what matters.

Neither should be a problem unless it affects legibility.
