Smile Bank Statement Query/ Cash Gift

Hi,

I will be applying under adequate maintenance.

I received a cash gift from my brother on 14/10/19. My bank statement from Lloyds starts on 11th of every month.

So when will it be 6 months, do I get the statement till 11/4/2020, or 11/5/2020.

Or I presume I could ask them to provide an extra statement from 11/4/2020 til 14/4/2020.

Thanks

The cash savings need to have been held for a full 6 month period, so you'll need to show statements that cover the period 14 October to 14 April inclusive. If the bank can issue can issue a statement for 11 - 14 April inclusive then that should be fine, otherwise you'll need to wait for your May statement.

This is on a different matter - I had a quick look at your past posts, I do that to make sure I'm taking all of an poster's individual circumstances into account before responding to questions. I noted that you're applying for a Carer's Allowance, and just wanted to check with you that you're not intending to apply for this as a carer for your spouse (because that wouldn't work).

Hey Spouse of Scouse,

Thanks for the info. I guess I will talk to my bank.

And no, I wont be applying as a carer for my spouse.

Yes, I know. I will be caring for someone else, receiving carer's allowance.

Therefore, applying under adequate maintenance.
