Im from New Zealand and have lived in the UK since 2015 with my partner who is British born.
I was on a youth mobility visa for 2 years then went on the spouse visa and have been for 2.5 years in Feb. (Total 4.5 years)
We had our first baby in April.
I was wondering what that means for my next application for my visa in February. Will it make it easier, can I apply for citizenship now?

If you’re originally from NZ... don’t you already have citizenship?

are you asking for UK Citizenship?

No, having a baby won't make any difference. You'll still need to meet the financial and accommodation requirements for your second 2.5 year visa. The time spent on your YMV won't count towards ILR/citizenship. You'll need to do five years on spouse visas before you become eligible.

I have moved your thread over to our UK Immgration forum. Please post any questions you may have about visas for the UK in this forum. Thank you.
