Australian adoption, UK citizenship?
Situation is -
Mother born in the UK, to British parents, all moved to Australia when she was aged 7 and been here ever since,
She has adopted an Australian child, born in 2007. The adoptive father (from whom she is now separated) is Australian. We are trying to work out whether the child qualifies for UK citizenship. Having read the passport website, I'm thinking that he may not, due to being adopted, but I'm not absolutely sure.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks

The child should be eligible for registration as a British citizen under S.3(1).
