Default Aussie wants to work in UK - what visa?

Help please.......

My daughter is returning to UK with me when I take up my new position there. She has been offered a job by my brother, however her Aussie boyfriend is coming too and wants to work there. He's 21 and a qualified plumber, is there a UK working visa similar to the one year working visa available to under 25's in Australia? Thanks in advance.......

His best option is probably the working holidaymaker visa. It's valid for 2 years and he can work for a maximun of 12 months out of the 2 years.

Any work undertaken must be part-time/casual and completely incidental to the holiday or the visa will be refused.

Maybe working holiday visa, as he is still eligible on age grounds.

Does he have a U.K. born grandparent? If so, Ancestry Visa is an option.

If he has parents or grandparents from any European country, has he looked into seeing if he can get the citizenship/passport of that country?

Once he has lived with your daughter for 2 years, he can get an unmarried partner visa. If they get married, he could remain in the U.K. on that basis sooner than 2 years.

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk is the place to start.
