Default Applying through another VAC abroad

I'm a Brit currently living in Hong Kong, looking to move back to the UK later this year. My spouse is actually a mainland China national, resident there for work.

I should pass all the required conditions, but we're in a bit of a hurry to get back due to family commitments. It looks like there are no Priority Settlement Visa Services available in any of the China based application centres. However, Hong Kong nearby does....

So, does anyone know if you can apply through a VAC in another country, despite being a resident of another? The vfsglobal.com site doesn't say either way - I.E.can we apply in Hong Kong instead, which does provide this (admittedly v. expensive) service? (she can travel there in person no problem)

Any help much appreciated!

I don't think this is possible. You apply from your country of origin or where you are legally resident.
