applying British passport from india

I am about to get British passport by descent. I am about to attend an interview with all my papers. I am married with two sons, aged 7 and 6. Please let me know whether their names could be included in british passport .

Re: applying British passport from india

If you are a British citizen by descent then usually your children won't be automatically eligible for British citizenship if they were also born outside the UK. Exceptions to this would be if your father was in Crown service at the time you were both or in limited circumstances if you were registered as a British citizen.

Regardless your children would need to apply for their own passports - they couldn't be included on yours.

Looks as though he was employed in a UK government department in the UK & not posted overseas as British government worker. Therefore, I'd say he wasn't in the crown service

Others may correct me
