Default Ancestry Visa question

Hi,
We're starting the process of applying for my wife's Ancestry Visa and have a couple of questions I hope someone can assist me with. Looking through the application form VAF2 (which I hope is the correct form), one of the questions is, will you have enough funds to support yourself and supply bank statements as proof. How much is considered as being enough to satisfy this question, bearing mind my wife intends to find a job as quickly as possible on her arrival and I will already be working in the UK, earning enough to support her and our children.

Thanks for your help.

Default Re: Ancestry Visa question

Hi Cockneykiwi,

When I applied for my ancestry visa 3 years ago I had $9,000 in savings and that seemed to be enough to get it. Can't say if it's changed in that time.

I also applied online which I think is the only option.

Hope this helps.
