Ancestry Visa Financial Requirement
Good evening
I seek clarification regarding meeting the financial requirement for an Ancestry Visa.
Do funds held in my New Zealand KiwiSaver account meet the requirement?
The Immigration Rules Appendix Finance states...
As I am over 65 years of age I am free to draw down on my account at will (something I have done in the recent past as an alternative to a bank bridging loan) although there is a delay of a week or two before funds are transferred to my current account.
Cheers, Tate.

The Immigration Rules Appendix Finance states...
- FIN 8.2. Funds held in other accounts or financial instruments such as shares, bonds, credit cards, pensions from which the funds cannot be withdrawn immediately, regardless of notice period, will not be accepted as evidence of funds.

Re: Ancestry Visa Financial Requirement
If you cannot access the funds immediately as per the requirement then I would suggest that particular savings account would not be suitable. I would withdraw the necessary funds and place them in a current account before applying.
