Default Advice Needed for Visa

Hi all,

I applied for UK student visa in 2008 and it got rejected because my work verification failed at that time. I don't know whether they banned me for some years or not.

I want to apply for visit visa now for UK as there is good option for me.
Cud anyone suggest how to know whether how long I have been banned for applying UK visa? Or I can apply directly without caring about previous rejection

Thanks.

A refusal is not the same as a ban. You are free to apply again. However you should mention your previous refusal on any new applications.

Can we re apply during our banned duration?
For how long normally an applicant is banned if verification is failed?

Thanks

A previous refusal does not mean you are banned from reapplying. You are able to reapply at any time.

Do you not have the refusal notice, the words will clearly tell you if you are likely to be subject to a 10 year ban if you apply again. If you know the document for your work was not genuine it is likely that you will be be banned until 2018 if you apply again for any visa except a settlement one.
