Advice Needed: UK Family Visa for spouse - applying inside the UK?
I'm a British citizen looking to return to the U.K. with my U.S. husband. Could he come to the U.K as a visitor and then apply for a U.K. visa from within the U.K.? Or does he have to be outside of the U.K. when filing? I'm thinking that he has to be outside based on what the gov.uk says below, but I wanted to confirm as U.S. citizens don't need a visa to enter the U.K. so I don't know if that makes them exempt from the visitor requirement. Also, are we able to do the priority service if he's in the U.S. when applying? I saw some people talking about VFS Global, I'm not really sure what that company is but I think they offer priority services.

No, you cannot apply for a spouse visa from within the UK, unless already in UK on other visa i.e student/investment/work
As you and hubby are in US, you HAVE to apply from the US
Yes, as far as I know you can use priority service from the US - but you need to check with the particular office (VFS) you will be applying from
